UCPath Community of Practice

The UCPath Community of Practice (CoP) is a Microsoft Teams channel where all new and existing transactors can discuss and share their issues and experiences with the UCPath system. This channel will also be used to quickly share important UCPath system updates. Click to join the UCPath Community of Practice.

UCPath Training Guide

The UCPath Training Guide contains links to important resources (ex. UCPath website, support channels such as the Employee Center and Office Hours) and provides an outline of which UCPath training courses an employee will need to take to get access to the system.

UCPath Media Library

The UCPath Media Library hosts recordings of our locally hosted UCPath Topic Based Zooms, locally created UCPath Micro Learning Videos, and locally created hands-on simulations.

UCPath Events Calendar

The UCPath Events Calendar contains links to add upcoming UCPath events, such as Office Hours and Topic Based Zooms, to your calendar.

Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs)

Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), hosted in the Employee Center, contain step-by-step instructions or frequently asked questions related to HR topics.

Business Analytics Hub (BAH)

The Business Analytics Hub contains locally developed reports that you can use to view UCPath-related data.

Coming Soon: UCPath Wiki

The UCPath Wiki contains a glossary of commonly used acronyms and terms related to the UCPath system. The UCPath Wiki is currently being finalized. In the meantime, refer to our UCPath Glossary for more information.

UCPath Center Resources

UCPath Transactor Help Site

The UCPath Transactor Help Site contains training resources developed by the UCPath Center such as job aids, guided simulations, and more. The resources here are also referred to as User Productivity Kits or UPKs.

UCPath Center Knowledge Base

The UCPath Center Knowledge Base, accessed by logging into UCPath and clicking on the yellow Ask UCPath button, contains Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) developed by the UCPath Center.

UCPath Location Support Site

The UCPath Location Support Site contains additional resources developed by the UCPath Center such as important project roadmap information, metrics, and Operational Alignment Decks.

UCPath Training Environment

The UCPath Training Environment, maintained and updated by the UCPath Center, is a copy of the UCPath production environment primarily used for transaction practice.


How to Access the UCPath Training Environment

We have a limited number of UCPath Training Environment User Profiles available for check-out. If you would like to practice within the UCPath Training Environment, you must follow the steps below:

  1. Complete the UCPath CORE Training in the UC Learning Center.
  2. Send an email to ucpathproject@ucsd.edu to request login credentials to the UCPath Training Environment.
    1. Emailing ucpathproject@ucsd.edu will automatically create a case for you in the Employee Center. 
    2. Once the case is created in the system, a UCPath admin will provide you with login instructions and credentials to access the UCPath Training Environment.
  3. Once you receive the credentials, you will have access to the UCPath Training Environment for two weeks.
    1. Note: If you would like additional time to practice within the Training Environment, you will need to create another case in the system to request new login credentials.
