Improve Self-Service

Beginning in July, employees and managers will see a brand new user interface in the Self-Service portal. The new layout is mobile-friendly and will have increased accessibility features for all users.

What's changing?

The Improve Self-Service project aims to improve the user experience for both Employee and Manager Self-Service portals in UCPath by leveraging new Fluid functionality.

  • The interface will have a clean, modern design that is accessible and mobile-friendly.
  • Users will see expanded menu options placed at the top of the page (similar to Blink).
  • There will be grouped tiles for most-used information such as Pay, Benefits, and Personal Information.
  • Bookmarks saved within your web browser to specific UCPath pages will not work in the new UCPath interface. Users should plan to navigate and re-save these bookmarks using the updated menu structure beginning on Monday, July 14, 2025.

What's not changing?

The following features wil remain the same for all users:

  • The core features and functionality of UCPath will remain the same. This update is mostly an aesthetic change to modernize the user experience.
  • Your login and the UCPath URL will remain the same (ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu).
  • Favorites saved within PeopleSoft will remain the same in the new interface.

When will this change go-live?

The new layout will be available for all users beginning Monday, July 14, 2025.

What should I be aware of?

Please note that UCPath will be unavailable on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm to Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:00 am to implement the July Release projects. During the scheduled downtime, employees, managers, and transactors will not have access to the system.

Several eForms will go offline in advance of the general downtime.

All eForms will be available again on Monday, July 14, 2025. Please complete any essential UCPath transactions before the scheduled downtime begins.
