Pay for Family Care and Bonding (PFCB) Reimbursement

Effective July 1st 2021, PFCB is a pay option for eligible employees to receive up to 70% of their eligible earnings for up to eight workweeks per calendar year. PFCB pay will be reflected on the Distribution of Payroll Expenses (DOPE) report by eligible earn code

PFCB is reimbursed by UCOP after Payroll Accounting submits the appropriate reimbursement form. The entire FY 2022 reimbursement will be recorded in June 2022. Starting July 2022, reimbursement will be recorded monthly. Reimbursement will be recorded to the same chartstring as originally charged.

PFCB reimbursement is recorded as a journal entry in Oracle (PPM & GL) and not in UCPath. Therefore, PFCB reimbursement will not appear on the DOPE report.
