UCPath Projects: March Release

The 2024 UCPath March Release will launch the following projects in the UCPath system in March 11, 2024: New Employee Case Submission, Replace PayPath Phase 2, and Annual UCPath Upgrade.

We strongly recommend reviewing the project spaces and reviewing all demos to develop a better understanding of the changes that are coming to the UCPath system.

IMPLEMENTATION POSTPONED: New Employee Case Submission Form

New Employee Case Submission Form Project Postponed

The New Employees Case Submission Form project implementation has been postponed. The changes will not go live on March 11, 2024. More information will be shared once available.

The goal of the New Employees Case Submission Form portion of the Enhance Ask UCPath Initiative is to simplify the employee user experience when submitting an inquiry/case through Ask UCPath.

What's coming? Who will be impacted?
  • The system will automatically determine the topic, category, and subcategory when submitting an inquiry through the Ask UCPath portal
  • Minimized fields that users need to enter to create a case
  • Built-in support using Knowledge Base articles to resolve issues before creating a case
  • All employees and transactors
  • Submitter enhancements are targeted to go-live in April 2024

Replace PayPath: Phase 2

Phase 2 of the Replace PayPath project will provide approval processes for Job Data changes through the Manage Job tile, and additional transaction types with validations to update job information.

What's coming? What will remain the same?  Who will be impacted?
  • Additional Action/Reasons codes included within the Manage Job tile
  • Added Approvals to Manage Job tile
  • Report enhancements for approvals
  • If you currently have access to PayPath pages today, continue to use PayPath and Smart HR Templates until pilot phase is complete
  • All current PayPath transactors will be able to see the Manage Job tile as a view-only page
  • Early adopters from Central Offices will be able to transact using the Manage Job tile functionality before all transactors can transact within the tile
  • Local leadership will determine the right opportunity to release the Manage Job tile to all transactors

Annual UCPath Upgrade

The next Annual UCPath Upgrade will move UCPath from PUM 44 to PUM 47 to implement improved efficiencies and functionality in the UCPath system.

What's coming? Who will be impacted?
  • As part of the upgrade, a new Additional Notes feature will be available within the Manage Job tile to show the total number of notes available for a job.
  • The new Additional Notes functionality within the Manage Job tile will only be available for Early Adopters within the Central Offices.
  • There will be minimal impact to transactors.

Preparing for the Changes

UCPath will be unavailable from Friday, March 8, 2024 at 12:00 pm through Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 am to implement the March Release projects.

What do I need to do to prepare for the cutover?

Take action on ALL "Pending Approval" transactions by Thursday, March 7, 2024

There are currently over 2000+ transactions that are in a Pending Approval status. Many of these transactions are old and likely need to be cancelled. Transactions pending approval must be approved or cancelled by Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
